Kurkimäki Community Center (Kurkimäen korttelitalo) offers residents of the Mellunkylä area a place for socializing, learning new skills, fostering community spirit, and enjoying a wide range of hobbies and activities. You can also rent the facilities for events. 

Musikantit organizes a wide variety of activities at Kurkimäki Community Center, including clubs, courses, and performances.

Kurkimäki Community Center hosts a wide range of events open to everyone, including interactive Open House days. Every April, Musikantit organizes the playful Kidols performance showcase in collaboration with local schools. In addition, Musikantit arranges seasonal celebrations at the Community House, such as Halloween and Christmas parties.

The facilities are generally open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 20:00. In June, opening hours are limited due to children's summer camps, and in July the Community House is closed for summer break.

The lobby of the Community Center features a café, free Wi-Fi, and a children's play area, all of which are freely available to visitors during opening hours.

The community house activities are supported by the City of Helsinki.
